Hi, I'm Dr. Jesse Shriki, DO, MS, FACEP — cardiac critical care doc, EBM obsessor, clinical tool builder by 2am (hence the name).

I work in a CVICU and CCU where I spend most of my time managing ECMO, complex post-op hemodynamics, and the kind of patients where the answer is never in UpToDate. I am also a board certified Neurocritical care intensivist. Before that I trained in emergency medicine, which is to say I have strong opinions about resuscitation and a high tolerance for organized chaos.

2amccm.com is where I put everything I wish someone had handed me as a fellow — calculators that take what we know by eyeballing a patient and put it into data to confirm our observation; teaching cases on the weird stuff (HLH post-transplant, DSP cardiomyopathy, methemoglobinemia); and long-form deep dives on PVCs in cardiogenic shock, ECMO anticoagulation, and ventricular-arterial coupling.
